Ines Lorenzen (イネス・ローレンツ Inesu Roorentsu?, "Innes Lorenz") is a protagonist in Tales of Hearts.
History
Ines is a woman outside the normal, with superhuman strength and a glamorous body. She is the manager of the transport shop, Wanderlust (日々寧日 Hibi Neijitsu?, "Every Day is a Good Day"), as well as the sole employee of it. Early in the story, Hisui Hearts begs her to sell him a Soma to help Kor Meteor gather Kohaku Hearts's Spiria, and she agrees to lend it to him for a while. Later, after clearing Beryl Benito's Spiria Nexus, it is revealed she has the rights to Beryl's Soma, but says she will not take it away.
Ines is next seen underneath a bridge when Kor and the party bump into Chalcedony Akerman and his group chasing after them. Out of options, Kor's party uses Ines's supplies as a cushion to jump off, damaging them. Enraged, Ines reveals her own Soma before using it to knock Chalcedony away before making a brake for it with the rest of the party. Brought up to speed later, Ines officially joins the party due to the massive debt they all now owe her, with their next stop conveniently being Shoalhaven.
Appearance and Personality
Avatar from PlayStation Network.
Ines is a tall, slender woman with short, silver hair and blue eyes. She wears a red- and green-oriented outfit that consists of a small shirt, long gloves, and a skirt that trails into dark blue leggings and long, heeled boots, as well as a pair of red, ringed earrings. A noticeable physical attribute of Ines is her breasts, which and seem to catch the eye of all who come into contact with her, and she seems pretty proud of. This becomes a running gag among the group, particularly the male members, and is even noted in her description of the imperial army's wanted posters.
Ines has a cheerful, optimistic personality and frequently offers helpful advice or encouraging words to other group members when they have doubts. She gently smiles, though with no breaks in her speech and conduct. On the other hand, Ines is also a bit of a glutton, a heavy drinker, and a deceivingly strong woman of money and makes her business matters a priority in nearly all affairs. She has a tendency to blackmail, or in her terms, recruit, others into working for her business, lovingly deeming them "mules". However, as the story progresses, she is revealed to be loyal to those she considers family.
Fighting Style

Ines herself possesses the Soma Forceus (フォルセウス Foruseusu?), a pair of greaves that cover her shins. Once activated, Ines produces a large blade with the grip in the middle. Her fighting style is based on thrusts, stabs and swings with the blade itself, as well as using her legs to strike the enemy, primarily focusing on close combat. Ines's artes are mostly Water-elemental. She also has a set of Rouge artes that sacrifice certain stats for buffs. Although her strikes are powerful, she is also slow, so it is better to attack with power than with the number of moves. In Tales of Hearts R, if she uses the Chase Link mechanic, this disadvantage can be eliminated to some extent. Her Combination Blaster is Neptune Rage. In Tales of Hearts R, Ines's unique Soma Build category is Charity (慈愛 Jiai?, "Affection").

Trivia

- In a skit, Kunzite reveals that Ines's bust, waist, and hip measurements are 2.6, 1.72, and 2.52 warth, a measurement used in the Age of Stones. According to Kunzite, the radius of the equator is equal to 18,223,285.75 warth. In kilometers, the radius is is 6,371 km. By doing ((km/warth)*100,000), one can determine how many centimeters are in a warth. ((6,371/18,223,285.75)*100,000) = 34.9607644165, which can simply round to 35. From this, it can be concluded that Ines's measurements, in centimeters, are 91-60-88.
